The official forums of Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4 have been temporarily shut down after an administrator took the game offline and then restored it, a statement from Bethesda has confirmed.
The forums were initially shut down due to an issue with a game server in the Middle East.
The game has since been brought back online, but the game’s official forums remain unavailable, according to Bethesda.
“We’re aware of the issue with the game servers and have taken action to bring them back online,” a Bethesda spokesperson told Ars.
“This is not a fix, but is a temporary measure until the issue is resolved.
Please stay tuned for further updates.””
We are currently working to resolve the issue and are working with our partners to address the root cause of this issue.
Please stay tuned for further updates.”
This isn’t the first time Bethesda has temporarily shut off forums for a patch.
In April, it announced that it was temporarily suspending forums for the game Fallout: Special Edition for a week.
A week later, Bethesda was able to restart forums and games for the first few days of the new patch.
The issue has affected the forums in other countries, too, as it was also discovered in the UK.
Bethesda has yet to release an official statement about the shutdown, but it has said it will not issue refunds.
