A new festival is being planned in Newcastle, and it’s set to be a huge hit with the city’s LGBT community.
The Newcastle Pride festival is set to take place from March 4-5, 2020.
It will feature a range of events including the Pride parade, a children’s party, the Stonewall parade, and a variety of other events and activities.
The event will be the first time the city has held a Pride festival since it was founded in 2010.
Organisers say the event will draw in the LGBT community and be a “great way to celebrate the city”.
“The festival will feature the most diverse group of people in Newcastle at the time, we want it to be as inclusive as possible,” said the organisers.
“We’re excited to celebrate our LGBT heritage, and we’re confident we’ll have a successful and engaging festival.”
The festival, which will be held in Newcastle’s waterfront city centre, will also include a dance, music and art event.
More to come.
